You can ‘pin’ any program you use regularly to the Windows taskbar at the bottom of your screen. When the program is open, right-click on it and click ‘Pin to taskbar’. It’ll always be ready for you.
Note too, that for some programs there might be additional shortcuts too – for example with Outlook you can choose to create new emails, appointments etc.
