
We’re torn on the use of ‘emojis’ in business. On the one hand, they perhaps aren’t particularly professional. On the other – language constantly evolves, and there’s a valid argument that with our increasingly text-based communication, there is a need for expressing the nuance of speech. What can feel like a light-hearted comment as you type it could easily be misunderstood by the end-reader, and sparingly-used emoticons can certainly help with that.
